Software Assurance
ConnectIt Software Assurance (or UMP - Update Maintenance Program -
as you may refer to it) is an annual subscription which entitles you
download free updates and upgrades released during the 12 month
subscription period.
ConnectIt Software Assurance is not a compulsory purchase when you
buy ConnectIt Software; and the software itself is not time-limited
in any way which forces you to upgrade. However, by maintaining
your Software Assurance subscription, you can be sure that you have
access to the latest feature releases. Please also note that subscription
to the Software Assurance program also ensures that as the software
which ConnectIt integrates with gets updated, that you have access to
the latest version of ConnectIt to ensure the integration still works
as expected.
Software Assurance (UMP) Categories
There are 4 UMP price categories; the pricing for the UMP varies based on two factors: how many licenses you currently own, and how many months have passed since you originally purchased the ConnectIt Software.
Category A - at original purchase
If you purchase Software Assurance at the same time as licenses, the price will be 20% of the list price of the current number of licenses.
Category B - up to 12 months from the original purchase
If the you purchase the UMP during this time, the price will be 35% of the list price of the current number of licenses. You will receive the current software release and 12 months of updates starting from the purchase date of the UMP.
Category C - from 12 months + 1 day to 24 months from the original purchase
If you purchase the UMP during this time, the price will be 50% of the list price of the current number of edition licenses. You will receive the current software update and 12 months of updates starting on the purchase date of the UMP.
Category D - more than 24 months + 1 day from the original purchase
If you purchase the UMP during this time frame, the price will be 65% of the list price of the current number of edition licenses. You will receive the current software update and 12 months of updates starting on the purchase date of the UMP.
